The supervisory institutions of the SFR Biosciences

 

The main objective of the SFR Biosciences is to develop, in close cooperation with the contributing research centers in Lyon, highly efficient technological core facilities for the entire scientific community. To make this possible, the SFR Biosciences is supported by 4 funding bodies: INSERM, CNRS, ENS of Lyon and the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1.

 

  1. The Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale (INSERM) is a public scientific and technological institute which operates under the joint authority of the French Ministry of Health and French Ministry of Research. It is the only French public research institute that focuses entirely on human health.

  1. The Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) is a public scientific and technological research organization, under the authority of the French Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research. It produces knowledge and makes it available to serve society.

  1. L'ENS de Lyon (École Normale Supérieure de Lyon) like the other three École Normale Supérieure in France is associated with a strong French tradition of excellence. The ENS of Lyon trains researchers and faculty in France and throughout the world. Grande école universitaire, member of the University of Lyon, the ENS includes all disciplines except law and medicine.
