GNOTAnima
SFR Biosciences is participating in the PEPR SAMS (Priority Research Program and Equipment “Food Systems, Microbiome and Health”), funded under the France 2030 plan.
Within PEPR SAMS, a network of four gnotobiology platforms (targeted project GNOTANIMA), which includes the AniRA-PBES, will provide mouse models and experimental capacities to better understand the mechanisms of host–microbiome interactions in health and disease.
The AniRA-PBES will offer the possibility to carry out analyses, particularly metabolic and immunological ones, on gnotobiotic mouse models—i.e., animals with a controlled microbiota.
Deciphering the mechanisms of symbiosis between a microbiome and its host will ultimately help identify personalized preventive and therapeutic measures aimed at reducing the burden of chronic microbiome-related diseases.
