The PHENOCAN Project
Purpose
The PhenoCan projectis funded by the Investment Program Investissement d’Avenir (Equipex).
This regional project is supported by two Federative Research Structures: SFR Biosciences and SFR Santé.
The objectives of the PhenoCan project are to provide state-of-the-art equipment to improve our understanding of the biological basis of chronic diseases such as cancer, infectious or inflammatory diseases. It offers an integrated approach to pre-clinical pathophysiological models generated on the AniCan and AniRA core facilities, combining in toto analysis and multiparametric phenotypic characterization at the single cell level. The project addresses the role of environmental conditions on the development of these diseases and tests new therapeutic pathways.
The PhenoCan Project will remove two technological barriers:
- Multiparametric cell analysis
- Longitudinal study of preclinical models of human diseases (cancers, metabolic disorders, inflammatory diseases...).
