Arthro-tools
Purpose
The ARTHRO-TOOLS core facility develops innovative research projects based on arthropod models (Drosophila, in particular). Projects cover basic research topics such as Cellular Biology, Development, Evolution, Physiology, Virology and Immunology.

Besides the Drosophila model, the ARTHRO-TOOLS facility held other model systems such as aquatic insects, Coleoptera (Tribolium) and crustaceans (Parhyale).
- Breeding and experiments with a collection of about 2000 Drosophila lines and production of breeding material.
- Monthly seminars on technical or research topics, open to all and designed to foster exchanges between the different research groups.
Equipment
Incubateurs :
- 7 incubateurs 406L, Sanyo MIR553/4.
- 3 incubateurs 123L, Sanyo MIR154.
Stéréomicroscopes :
- 1 stéréomicroscope (SMZ 745, Nikon).
- 3 stéréomicroscopes (SMZ 645 Nikon).
- 1 stéréomicroscope avec caméra Zeiss.
- 9 stéréomicroscopes (Stemmi 2000, Zeiss).
Appareils pour tubes de milieu Drosophile :
- 4 appareils pour préparation de tubes de milieu pour Drosophiles (Genesee Scientific).
- 1 appareil pour fermeture de tubes de milieu pour Drosophiles (Genesee Scientific).
Système d’anesthésie à flux à gaz (injectMatic, Genesee scientific).
Station micro-injection/micromanipulation/observation (InjectMan® NI 2, Eppendorf).
