PRESENTATION
The In Vivo Screening Research Platform (PRECI) is an animal facility providing access to aquatic models. It includes accommodation areas (zebrafish, medaka, etc.) and experimental space (injections, system for larval behaviour analysis).
The main missions of PRECI are:
- Breeding of aquatic models.
- Housing, establishment and monitoring of transgenic lines.
- Breeding, preservation and quality control of transgenic lines.
ACTIVITIES
The PRECI Platform aims to accommodate and breed various aquatic models needed for research projects. The flexibility of the platform's breeding systems allows to accommodate different species. It currently includes zebrafish and medakas.
The platform's services consist of transgenic line preservation, production of large numbers of animals for experimentation and daily production of spawning for zebrafish and medaka models.
Requests for access to PRECI services should be made by email to: PRECI.Lyon@inserm.fr.
Experimental protocols implemented at PRECI are subject to CECCAPP ethical approval before implementation. All new PRECI users are required to undergo training. Upon completion of this training, users will be required to sign the internal policies to agree to comply with the access conditions and working procedures.
